Boise is a real haul into Idaho, the second of our lanes to leave Washington behind. Plan on about 500 miles: I-90 over the Cascades, a turn onto I-84, down through the Columbia Gorge, then east over the high desert into the Treasure Valley, around seven and a half hours of driving. Sunrise load at the Tacoma yard, top Snoqualmie, drop along the Columbia past The Dalles, and push through eastern Oregon to the border. We unload the next day in the North End, the Bench, the East End, or out by Meridian and Eagle. Two state lines means the job rides on our interstate authority and, with the price set as a flat written figure before we leave the yard.
Long but mostly open road, with the mountains calling the tempo.
