DuPont Movers | Three Generations Moving

Licensed, insured movers serving DuPont and the South Sound — flat-rate, on time, every job.

DuPont is the planned community south on I-5 hard against JBLM, and its whole layout reads new and bound to the base. Military families on PCS orders and commuters chasing the freeway and the elbow room fill the tracts and townhomes off Center Drive, the streets run clean and recent, and the base gate is a short hop north. We’ve driven I-5 to DuPont for three generations, so we know the townhome loops off McNeil that keep a truck rolling and the newer streets that still cramp it.

Half these households are PCS families on a deadline; the other half are commuters who took a recent build for the freeway and the quiet. Either way the homes are new, the stairwells in the shared-wall townhomes are tight, and the finishes are worth protecting, so our movers run corner guards and floor runners and shrink-wrap the furniture against the gray Sound drizzle. Whatever the last owner left in the garage rides out too. When orders or closing dates move, the booking and the figure move with them. Cole’s people on our own trucks, never handed to a subcontractor.

PCS Households and Center Drive Townhomes

Reporting dates shift and housing turns over near the base, so when yours changes we change with it and the rate holds. The Center Drive townhome communities often want a certificate ahead of time, and Cole’s office sends it early. A new townhome off McNeil or a full tract house, the crew runs it for the price set first.

Ruston · Google
★★★★★

“Moving into a waterfront house in Ruston, and the crew was excellent through what turned into a downpour. Before a single thing left the house they had the couches and mattresses sealed in shrink-wrap, so nothing arrived damp. They were also mindful on the deck stairs and that awkward turn into the new place. Price held flat the entire job. Color me impressed.”

Browns Point · Google
★★★★

“Browns Point to Boise was our haul, and the part I appreciated most was that the same faces who packed the truck in Tacoma were the ones unloading it in Idaho, no handoff to some carrier I'd never spoken to. The written figure they committed to up front is what I paid, period. I'll dock one star because on delivery day I had to phone in myself to get a timeframe, which felt like it should've come to me, but the crew was decent and not one thing arrived broken. Reasonable for the distance.”

University Place · Google
★★★★★

“There's an upright in our family that was my grandmother's, and the thought of hauling it across University Place had me on edge. Turned out I had nothing to worry about, the crew showed up with the proper ramp and straps and eased it out the door and up onto the truck like it was routine for them. Everything else in the 2-bed was simple by comparison. No marks on the piano, none on the floors. I honestly couldn't have hoped for better.”

Lakewood · Google
★★★★★

“Three-bed move staying inside Lakewood, and they did it properly. Punctual, organized, and respectful of the house from the first box to the last. Best part for me was knowing the flat rate up front in writing, so there was no haggling once they finished. Nobody tried to upsell me on anything. I'd point a friend their way in a heartbeat.”

Questions People Ask Us

My PCS orders keep changing the date. Will Three Generations Moving & Hauling hold my DuPont booking and price?
Yes. Between base housing and the newer townhome leases off Center Drive, the calendar here is rarely settled, so your slot flexes to match whatever the orders finally say and the written number rides along unchanged. Tell us the new date when you have it; there's no rebooking charge and no re-quote.
Does my DuPont townhome community require a certificate of insurance before the move?
Often, yes. Many of the Center Drive communities want the paperwork on file first. Every job rides under $1M in cargo coverage, and Cole's office forwards the document to your HOA or property manager early, so management clears us and nobody idles at the door on moving day.
Can you take away the junk an outgoing family left in my DuPont place?
That's part of what we do. Move-out leftovers — a tired mattress, a grill that quit, the odds and ends stacked in the garage — leave by the truckload in the $150 to $650 range, sized to the fill. The big carriers won't touch it, so folding it into our visit saves you chasing down a hauler separately.
