Full Packing Service in Tacoma | Three Generations Moving

Our team takes on the cardboard, from daily stemware through monitors, framed paintings, and the heirlooms.

If wrapping an entire house in cardboard sounds like a Saturday and Sunday you will never see again, let our packers carry that load. A full pack puts a crew on your Tacoma doorstep stocked with rolls of tape, sheets of bubble, bundles of packing paper, and a wall of fresh boxes, and they move through the home from the high cupboards to the low cabinets, the everyday shelves and the closet you have been avoiding both. With hundreds of these behind us, our team gets that dreaded pantry boxed in a sliver of the time you would spend on it solo, packed solidly enough to ride out a drenched Tacoma morning the moment it is on the truck.

Every category calls for its own method. Stemware and dishes settle into cell-divided kitchen boxes, hardbacks go into compact cartons that keep the spines from bending, and the unwieldy pieces are given a tailored sleeve, the mirror, the television, the monitors, a lamp or two, the framed photographs, the painting hung above the fireplace. Whatever draws power is cushioned against shock, and a room marking goes on every carton so the far end is no game of hide-and-seek. With one W-2 crew on both the wrapping and the drive, not a thing tumbles into the gap that springs open whenever a separate company boxes a home and yet another hauls it.

Take the lot, or only the parts that scare you

Turning the whole job over is never required. Plenty of people want every room boxed; plenty of others point us at the office, the cupboards, and the wall art while seeing to their own wardrobes. Both are fine, and the price rides on the slice you assign us. In a roomier home the wrapping runs a day or two early, and the fragile pieces along with the powered gear are held back from any rainy-day trek to the curb until they sit padded and taped.

The boundaries of a pack

A pair of rules keeps everything aboveboard. Hazardous materials are something we will neither box nor haul, so gasoline, propane, paint, solvents, and ammunition have to be set off on their own. Groceries that spoil and any potted plants will not be crated for a highway run. And though we are glad to box up a delicate heirloom or a one-of-a-kind painting, we will say so plainly when something rides more safely in your own hands than taped inside a carton on a prayer.

The price of a pack

What a pack costs follows the slice you assign us plus the supplies it burns through, and it layers on top of the move itself. For rough orientation, moving a full home is in the range of $1,050–$1,800 for two bedrooms, $1,800–$3,000 for three, and $2,900–$4,600 for four, packing figured separately above that. All that we box rides beneath the same $1M of cargo coverage carrying the rest.

What Tacoma Customers Tell Us

University Place · Google
★★★★★

“There's an upright in our family that was my grandmother's, and the thought of hauling it across University Place had me on edge. Turned out I had nothing to worry about, the crew showed up with the proper ramp and straps and eased it out the door and up onto the truck like it was routine for them. Everything else in the 2-bed was simple by comparison. No marks on the piano, none on the floors. I honestly couldn't have hoped for better.”

“Three-bed move staying inside Lakewood, and they did it properly. Punctual, organized, and respectful of the house from the first box to the last. Best part for me was knowing the flat rate up front in writing, so there was no haggling once they finished. Nobody tried to upsell me on anything. I'd point a friend their way in a heartbeat.”

Puyallup · Google
★★★★★

“Our Puyallup garage was a disaster after years of just piling things up, and Three Generations cleared the whole thing out and then moved us the same week. Tyler's crew hauled off the junk and the busted old treadmill by the truckload, then handled the house move without breaking a sweat. One company for both made it so much simpler, and the price was exactly what they quoted.”

Fife · Google

“Closing on the Fife place got pushed back a few weeks, which left us with a houseful of stuff and nowhere to put it. Three Generations took the whole load into their climate-controlled storage and held it until we finally had keys, then redelivered with the same care they packed it. What they charged for storage matched the figure written alongside the move, no surprise add-on. A gap that could've been a nightmare ended up being nothing to worry about.”

Questions On This Service

Do the cartons and supplies come from you?
They do. We pull up with tape, bubble, paper, cell-divided kitchen boxes, and cartons, so nothing needs gathering up on your end ahead of time unless you would prefer to.
Can you cover only the kitchen and the powered gear?
Of course. A fair number of households hand over the office, the wall art, and the kitchen and see to their own wardrobes. The price is shaped around the precise slice you would like handled.
How do the paintings and the powered gear come through unharmed?
Dishes and stemware settle into cell-divided kitchen boxes; mirrors, monitors, and photographs take a tailored sleeve plus a carton, then are held back from any rainy-day trek until taped, so every last piece reaches the door intact.
Can a single crew box the house and move it afterward?
It can. Holding our own people on the wrapping and then the loading bars anything from going astray during a clean handoff between two companies; a single team sees it through on one price.
